Signal Scanner

This is an experimental Examination and Diagnostics tool which is capable of extracting electrical signals from devices in operation and converting them into audible sound.  

It is also able to hear moving metal, especially resonating.

These attributes make it especially useful for tracking down problems in electrical systems.  Many problems will produce a signal which you can hear with the device.

It's also capable of pinpointing sources of noise in mechanical assemblies such as an Engine.  A timing chain rattle is very hard to pinpoint with your ears or a traditional listening device.

But the signal scanners unique design means it only hears mechanical noise at the source. Where typical listening tools will hear the echo anywhere the sound travels.
